I happened to immediately go from those photos, to mine. I saw the precious faces of the children so dear to my heart. At once the beauty in those eyes was just as amazing to me. Instantly, joy filled my heart. I have been given the gift of being a mother. When I can see the beauty in the work I've been given, it takes my breath away.
Those little people, whom God chose to form in me...I will have them. I would choose them again. The wonders of the rest of the world can wait. I will see all the beauty He has put around me, right where I am.
I will not diminish the magnitude of mothering my children. I won't look at it as something to get through so that I can get on with my life! This is my life! Very true words, nothing can compare to being a mom, spending most of your life training up little souls that are eternal. May we keep this perspective in the fronts of our minds, it is easy to forget in the midst of the daily chores of being a mom. Susan M.
Rachel - this is an absolutely beautiful post and I agree whole heartedly! There is something beautiful about training the next generation that cannot be compared to the most exotic places on earth. Who knows, maybe one of these beautiful children will treat their mama one day to one of those places and it will mean all the more to you. If not, you know where you're headed one day and you will be able to take these blessings with you because of all the hard work you're doing. Keep up the great job. I really enjoy your insights on this blog.
